Dr Ismael, in your 25 years of experience in the Ship Registry, taking into consideration all the countries where you have worked (Panama / Belize / BVI …), what would you consider to be the country that will have the most significant trajectory for the issue of record of boats in the coming years and why it would be the best option?

“Without a doubt, it would be Panama because it is the oldest record with the longest trajectory and presence in the world. When I refer to presence, it is not only a question of boats that carry the Panamanian flag, but also the amount of infrastructure that has been organized through inspectors in ports around the world, the relationship that Panama as a sovereign state maintains with other countries in the world and now more with the new relationship of Panama with mainland China, it promises growth without presenters, not only for the maritime industry, but for investmentĀ  too, The next record that should also be taken into consideration is MARSHALL ISLANDS, they are doing very well and are already growing to almost the second position after Panama with significant trajectory for the issue of ship registration in the next years.”
