The Biggest natural liquefied gas terminal (GNL) in the Nordic countries was inaugurated in the Port of Roytta Tornio on June 11 in Finland.

Tornio Magna LNG terminal replies to the growing demand of GNL of low emissions and reinforces the security of supply of GNL in North Nordic countries.

How can it be explained that the deployment of the new facility installation will guarantee the supply to Finland and Sweden.

The Tornio terminal of GNL is  the largest among the Nordic countries . Before the only GNL terminal in Finland was in Pori, some 600 kilometers to the south. The Tornio terminal is equipped with supply stations of fuel for vessels of GNL , equipment  of regasification of fuel for natural liquefies , as well as units of storage and supply with a volume of 50000 m3.

The terminal is the result of the work of several companies that worked together through  Manga LNG , a joint company made by Outokumpu SSAB, EPV Energy and Gasum. Wartsila was selected as the main contractor.

The change in solution of more cleaner fuels is a worldwide tendency that must be accelerated in all possible ways. With the use of GNL we reduce the contaminants of the maritime trade.
