A 17.7% increase in toll revenues in the Panama Canal in the first quarter of the year compared to the same period of the previous year, according to the Comptroller General.

Toll revenues total January to April, $ 753 million, $ 282,000. In terms of net tons, a total of 138 million 777 thousand were registered, an increase of 27.4% compared to the same period of the previous year.

In the same period the transit of 4,960 ships of small draft and 4,700 of high draft was registered.

There has also been an improvement in the movement of cargo in the National Port System with 16.7% more than in the same period of the previous year.
