Facing a job interview is not easy, but when you have to prove what you are and impress the interviewer. First of all it is important to understand the 3 stages of the interview that are: the before, during and after, so I, Ismael Gerli, will mention some tips to overcome the interview and emerge victorious:
- Before the interview:
- Know everything you can about the company.
- Review your skills, experience and training.
- Take the curriculum and know it it to perfection as it will be based on it.
- Make a relationship with your weak points and prepare arguments to defend them.
- Become a relationship of your strengths and prepare arguments that corroborating.
- If you are quoted in writing, confirm your attendance.
- Check your appearance (avoids striking clothes; well-dressed, clean and shaved).
- Go alone.
- Be punctual (5 minutes before).
- Prepare the interview, the coach is going to do it too.
- During the interview:
- Greet the interviewer with a conventional formula: Good afternoon, Mr. Ruiz.
- Sit straight, not on the edge of the chair (insecurity).
- Don’t be the first to extend your hand.
- He greets with a handshake and smiles, looking into his eyes.
- Don’t sit down until they tell you.
- Don’t tutees if they don’t tell you.
- Stay tuned and nice.
- Don’t interrupt.
- Look at the interviewer in the eyes, but without intimidation.
- Let him take the lead.
- Don’t talk too much, not too little.
- Watch your language.
- Think before you answer.
- Think and respond in a positive way.
- After the interview
