The government of Panama congratulates the leader of the Socialist Workers Party (PSOE) Pedro Sánchez, based on his victory in the general elections on Sunday, held in Spanish territory.

Panama also ratifies its interest in continuing to strengthen bilateral ties between both nations.
On January 28, 2011, with 28.81% of the votes, 122 seats were awarded out of the 350 that are part of the Spanish parliament.
