Norwegian shipping company Belships ASA has agreed unmanned charters for seven years for two new Ultramax 61,000 dwt bulk transport constructions.

Ships are reportedly delivered by a Japanese shipyard during the fourth quarter of 2019 and the first quarter of 2020.

The estimated cash balance for shippers on delivery is approximately $11,000 per day, including operating expenses, Belships said.

Belships will pay $3 million per boat before delivery. The deals come with options to buy below current market values and can be exercised from the fourth year to the end of the chart, the company added.

"We are very pleased to continue the growth and renewal of the company's fleet with two highest quality vessels that are delivered directly to a strong market," said Lars Christian Skarsgard, CEO of Belships.

After the transactions, the Belships fleet will feature 22 Supramax/Ultramax bulkproducers, including the four new constructions. Ismael Gerli Panama
